We start with a gentle seated yoga practice to release neck, back and shoulder tension for improved posture, balance, co-ordination and body awareness.
The impact of posture on facial appearance is often underestimated, yet it plays a significant role in how we look, feel, and even age. Both good and bad posture can dramatically affect the face through muscle strain, blood flow and alignment. Upper body yoga can be a powerful tool in helping us maintain optimal posture, which not only improves the health of our spine and core but also enhances our facial aesthetics.
We move on to the face where we incorporate, acupressure, facial massage and facial exercises, with breathwork, energy work, visualisation, intention setting and affirmations weaved in throughout.
Modified Ashtanga (Based on the Primary Series) TBA via Zoom 7-8.15pm GMT

A predominantly firey flow based on the Ashtanga vinyasa method of yoga (but don’t don’t worry you don’t have to be super athletic or super flexible!) My version is completely modified and suitable for beginners to experienced.
There’s plenty of time spent mindfully pausing in the postures with the main focus very much on energy and breath, co-ordinating your movements with the breath as a way to steady and calm the mind.
The set sequence practiced with awareness, is designed to work as a moving meditation, where the transitions from each posture to the next are as important as the postures themselves.

A little information about me ~
Hi my name is Shalena! Yoga teacher, and creator of intentional jewelry. I’m also qualified in a range of holistic therapies including Aromatherapy Massage, Reflexology and Reiki. Through my offerings, I weave together elements of gentle yoga, breathwork, energy healing, and face yoga to support self-care and inner connection. My classes and creations are rooted in compassion, mindfulness, and the belief that beauty begins with how we feel. Whether it’s through a yoga session or a handmade mala, I can help you to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with yourself.
I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2022, with a focus on the Ashtanga Primary Series. A fiery-disciplined, meditative flow of breath and movement. I have since enjoyed teaching a modified version that felt more accessible. I then found myself drawn toward a more nurturing, restorative approach. In 2024, that path naturally led me to Face Yoga. A practice that resonated deeply with my love for mindfulness, intention setting, and energy work. What started as curiosity soon became a key part of my own wellness routine. I found it calming, grounding, and deeply connective, far beyond its aesthetic benefits. This beautiful blend of ancient and modern; facial exercises, massage, acupressure, breathwork, and mindful awareness helped me reconnect with my inner self and inspired me to train in two Face Yoga courses, including the ‘Danielle Collins Face Yoga Method’ - World leading face yoga expert, to share its benefits with others.
